About

The Department of Bengali in Government General Degree College, Manbazar-II,its glorious journey from the academic session 2015-2016 under the Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University in Purulia. Students always feel free to communicate with the teachers in the department regarding various aspects of their studies. Prominent academics worked in the department in the past and to this day both research aptitudes and good teaching capability are considered to be the most important criteria for the faculty at this department.

The Department is run by student oriented method. Their main goal is to reach each and every students as lot of students are coming from rural area. The Department makes lesson plans, conduct special class, periodical lecture and student’s seminar throughout the session.

Teachers of the department are actively engaged in research work in different areas of Bengali literature & language.
