About

The Department of Philosophy, Government General Degree College at Manbazar-II, came into being on 7^th March 2019. This Department always tries to guide students not only for pursuing the academic aspect, but also gives emphasis to guide them in understanding the higher objectives and real goal of life.

Course

The Department offers under graduate Honours, Generic and Program course in Philosophy. Curriculum and syllabus of these courses comes under CBCS which isaffiliated toSidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia.

Facilities

The Department has a rich collection of reading materials (Text and Reference books) in the central library of the college. The department takes special initiatives to enhance the knowledge of the students by organising special lectures and seminars. Innovative learning is the key motto of this department which is achieved through utilisation of the state of the art teaching tools.

Research

The faculty members of this department always keep themselves occupied in research activities. They have contributed articles in different journals and take part in International, National and State level Seminars and Workshops.
