Department of Santali has started its journey from the beginning of the foundation of Government General Degree College, Manbazar-II on July 2015. Departmental teachers take tutorial classes along with regular classes for special care of the students.

The Department offers undergraduate Honours and Program course in Santali. The curriculum and syllabus of all courses is under the affiliation of Sidhu-Kanhu-Birsha University.
