About
The Department of Mathematics, Government General Degree College at Manbazar II was started during the inception of the institution in 2015 with the introduction of regular B.Sc. Mathematics Honours and Pass course. Since then, it has grown both in reputation and stature upholding the tradition, mission and vision of the college. This Department is situated at the 2nd floor of the main academic building. The department has clean and spacious class rooms and well-equipped sophisticated computer laboratory. It has one ‘Smart Class room’.
The department conducted one seminar, one special lecture and one INSA remote lecture sponsored by Indian National Science Academy. The students of this department always maintained commendable results in the university examination.

Course
Presently undergraduate regular Honours and program Course in Mathematics are offered. These courses are affiliated under Sidho–Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia. The Department has an annual intake capacity of 25 students at the UG Honours level.
Facilities
Air conditioned Computer Laboratory facilities are available. There are facilities of ‘Smart Class’ also. Sufficient number of text and reference books of Mathematics are available at the College’s Central library.

The faculty members are actively engaged in research activities.Our main objective is that to impart quality education to our students with best available facilities and to obtain consistent and excellent results that would serve our resume.
